- She Is... Shanine Young (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)
In honour of International Women’s Day, Noble Media Network has partnered with With A Purpose International’s "She Is" Initiative to highlight 8 women who inspire us to have bold faith. The "She Is" Initiative celebrates women who lead with authenticity and confidence as they walk in their purpose. Shanine Young has spent over a decade in education, but her impact extends far beyond the classroom. As a world-renowned author, emotional literacy specialist, author coach, and speaker, she has built a platform that helps educators, entrepreneurs, and professionals confidently use their voices, share their expertise, and build thriving brands. Through her company, Reaching While Teaching, she equips individuals with the tools to increase their confidence, master emotional intelligence, and create meaningful change through books and education. A native of Florida, USA, Shanine has been recognized by outlets such as Fox, and Voyage Miami, solidifying her as a sought-after expert in publishing, coaching, and educational leadership. Reaching While Teaching – From the Classroom to Global Influence Author and International Speaker, Shanine Young When Shanine published her first book, “Reaching While Teaching: An Educator's Guide to Impacting & Transforming Lives” (2020), she was still a full-time educator navigating the demands of teaching. Despite this, she successfully sold hundreds of copies, sparking curiosity from others who wanted to understand how she did it. Realizing there was a gap in knowledge for aspiring authors, she developed a course breaking down the strategies behind her successful book launch. This led to the creation of her signature program, the Books 2 Impact Publishing Accelerator, where she helps entrepreneurs, educators, and speakers publish and market their own books—transforming their experiences into powerful tools for influence. Her work isn’t just about helping authors publish books. It’s about helping them own their stories, amplify their voices, and step into purpose with confidence. To Teach or Not to Teach – Changing the Narrative in Education For many educators, the question isn’t just about teaching—it’s about sustainability, purpose, and legacy. Shanine co-authored the To Teach or Not to Teach® book, which features a total of ten educators sharing their personal experiences on whether to remain in the classroom or transition into new opportunities. This conversation quickly grew into something bigger. Shanine trademarked the To Teach or Not to Teach® movement, which now includes three volumes of books and has helped over 30 educators around the world become impactful and profitable authors. She also launched the To Teach or Not to Teach® Conference, a space where professionals come together to network, learn business strategies, and gain insight from successful authors and industry leaders. Through this initiative, Shanine is reshaping the way people think about education and career transitions, proving that there are multiple ways to make an impact—inside or outside the classroom. Building a Legacy Beyond her own publishing success, Shanine is raising the next generation of authors—starting with her own daughter. At just three years old, Shanel became a co-author alongside her mother in the book Shanel’s World , a children’s story celebrating uniqueness and highlighting the various food allergies children may encounter. Together, they go on tours to schools and organizations, inspiring young minds to embrace their individuality and build confidence. This project reflects Shanine’s larger mission: helping others recognize the power of their voice, their story, and their experiences. Whether coaching authors, or leading transformational conversations in education, she continues to prove that impact is limitless when purpose and strategy align. A Closer Look w/ Shanine Young I had to be reminded that God can use anyone and that includes me. It doesn’t matter how small or ordinary our stories feel. ~ Shanine Young You’ve successfully built an entire platform around empowering others to use their voices. When was the moment you realized that your own voice had power? Founder of To Teach or Not To Teach ® , Shanine Young SHANINE: Honestly, I didn’t always feel like my story was important enough. There were so many times I questioned, “Why would anyone care what I have to say?” But I had to be reminded that God can use anyone and that includes me. It doesn’t matter how small or ordinary our stories feel. I started to realize the power of my voice when I began posting small videos online, just sharing what was on my heart. People started listening, engaging, and asking for more. When I got my first few speaking engagements and saw the way people were leaning in, taking notes, and asking questions, I knew my voice carried impact. That’s when I knew I couldn’t count myself out. Stepping away from the classroom and into global influence required a shift in mindset. What was the biggest internal hurdle you had to overcome? SHANINE: The biggest hurdle was believing that what God placed inside of me was bigger than the classroom walls. Education was familiar, safe, and structured but deep down, I knew God was calling me to reach more lives beyond those four walls. I had to break out of the mindset that my impact was only limited to my students or a traditional job title. Now, I see how God still allows me to pour into students, schools, and educators, just in a different way. The calling was always there, I just had to be bold enough to answer it. Faith often demands action before certainty. Was there ever a point where you questioned your path? How did you push forward? SHANINE: Absolutely. There were moments where I questioned if I made the right decision, especially in the beginning when things weren't moving as fast as I expected. I wondered if I should just go back to the classroom because that felt easier. But what kept me pushing forward was knowing that God never gives us vision without provision. Even when I couldn't see how it would all work out, I trusted that He would guide my steps. Every time I kept going, another door would open, whether it was a speaking opportunity, a client signing up, or seeing how my daughter's confidence grew through becoming an author. Your first book, Reaching While Teaching , was written while you were still navigating a full-time teaching career. What was the driving force behind making it happen? Get your copy of Shanine's book, Reaching While Teaching here . SHANINE: I was in a season where I felt called to something more but I didn't know what that looked like yet. Writing Reaching While Teaching was my way of encouraging others, but at the same time, God was encouraging me through the process. I wrote that book while juggling teaching full-time, being a wife, a mom to a toddler, and barely having any free time. But I knew the message inside of me needed to come out. I didn't want to wait for the perfect time, I just wanted to be obedient. You’ve helped so many aspiring authors launch their books. What’s the biggest struggle you find that people battle with when trying to share their stories? SHANINE: The biggest struggle is thinking their story isn't valuable enough. So many people count themselves out before they even start writing because they compare their journey to others. They think, "I'm not an expert," or "Who would want to read my story?" But the truth is, your story isn't just for you, it's for the people God assigned to your voice. What I've learned is that it's not about having a perfect story—it's about being willing to share the lessons and experiences that can empower someone else. In an era where content is everywhere, what makes a book stand out? SHANINE: A book stands out when it's written from a place of authenticity and strategy. Anybody can put words on paper, but what makes a book impactful is when the author is intentional about the message, the marketing, and the mission behind it. A lot of authors think their job is done once they finish writing—but the work is just beginning. You have to position your book to reach the right people and create a movement around it. That's what I help my clients do, turn their books into tools that build legacy and income. Your daughter is also an author at just 3 years of age. How important was it for you to help her share her story? SHANINE: It was extremely important because I didn't want her to ever question if her voice mattered—the way I once did. I wanted her to know that she could inspire others at any age. Watching her confidence grow through becoming an author showed me that this work isn't just about me—it's about building the next generation. Get your copy of Shanel's World here . She's already been on tour with me, speaking to classrooms, and showing other kids what's possible. I truly believe that confidence starts at home and I wanted to plant that seed early. Teaching is often viewed as a lifelong career. What made you challenge that traditional narrative and start the To Teach or Not to Teach ® movement? SHANINE: I knew I was meant to educate beyond the classroom. For so long, I thought being a teacher meant I had to follow the same path everyone else did, retire after 30 years, maybe become an administrator—but I knew there was more. God began showing me that I could still teach, but in a different way. The To Teach or Not to Teach ® movement is about helping other educators realize they don't have to box themselves in either. You can teach through your voice, your story, your business and still make an impact. Leaving a structured profession like education can feel daunting. What do you say to teachers who feel called to something more but fear the unknown? SHANINE: I'd say that obedience is better than comfort. I know what it feels like to crave stability, especially when you have a family depending on you. But I also know what it feels like to wake up every day knowing you're not walking in your full purpose. If God is calling you to something more, He will provide every step of the way. You just have to take the first step even if you're scared. Where do you see your impact reaching in the coming years? SHANINE: I see generational impact, not just through my books, but through the books of my clients. I see millions of copies being sold and lives being transformed by the stories that God has assigned to our voices. I see this movement catching on like wildfire, with eyes being opened, chains being broken, and people walking in purpose because someone was bold enough to share their story. Even though this journey hasn't been easy, I'm committed to pushing forward, not just for myself, but for the generations that are connected to my obedience. I'm building legacy one book at a time, starting with my own household and I believe that the seeds we're planting today will bear fruit for years and years to come. - She Is... Minister Taneisha Shaw (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)
For Minister Taneisha Shaw, prayer isn’t just a routine—it’s a powerful weapon. Known affectionately as Taneisha “Click Click Pow,” she has dedicated her life to winning souls, shifting spiritual atmospheres, and equipping believers with the tools necessary to achieve spiritual victory. Minister Taneisha Shaw A former dancehall promoter, now minister of the gospel, recording artiste, author, life coach, and mentor, Taneisha is committed to empowering women and strengthening believers through strategic prayer and spiritual warfare. Taneisha holds a Kingdom Principles and Biblical Foundation certificate from Whole Life College. She is also the CEO of Wise Worthy Women, an initiative designed to uplift and equip women to live with faith and purpose. With over ten years of experience in spiritual warfare ministry, she possesses a deep understanding of intercession, the supernatural, and breakthrough prayer. Wisdom to Win the War – A Blueprint for Spiritual Victory Get your copy of "Wisdom to Win the War" here . Taneisha recently released her book, “Wisdom to Win the War,” a strategic guide aimed at unlocking a deeper prayer life and experiencing the power of God. Rooted in her personal experiences and divine revelations, this book equips believers with practical tools to engage in spiritual warfare and overcome life’s challenges. To expand on the book’s teachings, she will be hosting the “Wisdom to Win the War” Conference & Book Launch in April, in Kingston, presented by Wise Worthy Women. This event is expected to gather faith-filled women seeking breakthroughs, strategies for victory, and a greater understanding of the power of intercession. “I prophesy this over you and myself as well: In 2025, we will see the blessing of God like never before. We will see destiny and dreams come to pass. God will put us in new places and new levels. 2025 will be exceedingly, abundantly blessed, in Jesus Name.” - Minister Taneisha Shaw. On a Mission to Win Souls Beyond being an author, Taneisha is widely recognized for her dynamic online prayer sessions, transformational teachings, and her ability to command the atmosphere wherever she ministers. Through regular Instagram lives and motivational messages, she continues to educate believers on how to have faith and wisdom for their journeys. Her passion for ministry is reflected in one of her favorite scriptures, Psalm 86:17: “Show me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it and be ashamed because thou, Lord, hast helped me and comforted me.” A Closer Look w/ Minister Taneisha Shaw You cannot be unwise this season. We're in the time of evil; you cannot be unwise. ~ Minister Taneisha Shaw Your book “Wisdom to Win the War” is powerful and needed for the times we’re living in. What inspired you to write this book, and what do you hope readers take away from it? MINISTER TANEISHA: Life itself is a war and as the Bible says we have to fight the good fight of faith, and I know that if people know how to apply wisdom while they're going through what they're going through, they will be able to come out victorious and triumphant. I hope readers take everything from the book because once you make the application through your life journey, you will be able to navigate and go to another level, not only physically but spiritually with God. Knowledge is power and when you know what you're fighting first, you will fight to win the war because you can't fight spiritual wars physically and win. You have to fight it spiritually where you go to God. So, my thing is, everybody that gets [the book] will never be the same. Their life will never be the same. You’re known for your ability to shift atmospheres in prayer. When did you first realize you carried this anointing? MINISTER TANEISHA: The challenges that I go through. My experience, you know? What was meant to destroy me actually delivered me and the anointing can only activate when you're going through stuff. The anointing breaks the yoke, so that's when I realized what I go through and how I came out of it. Many believers struggle with spiritual warfare. What’s one key strategy for engaging in battle effectively? MINISTER TANEISHA: I don't have even one, I have two; prayer and fasting. You’re hosting the “Wisdom to Win the War” Conference and Book Launch in April. What can attendees expect from this experience? MINISTER TANEISHA: They can expect to come and not leave the same; leaving with sovereign intelligence. Because if you don't have wisdom, you don't have direction. You don't know where you're going, you don't know how to fulfill your purpose, you don't know what to do. So, they're leaving with a life-changing experience. Through social media, you regularly uplift and encourage others. What’s one message you feel believers need to hear right now? MINISTER TANEISHA: You cannot be unwise this season. We're in the time of evil; you cannot be unwise. What has been the most defining moment of your ministry so far? MINISTER TANEISHA: When somebody can call me and tell me that they're giving their life to The Lord and when [they share] the experience and testimony of being under my ministry or when I pray for them; that is the greatest thing. Souls —the wise win souls. I'm all about wisdom enuh, trust me. The wise win souls and the Bible tell wi in Proverbs 14 that a wise woman builds her house and a foolish one tears it down. Wisdom is very important to me and many people don't know, when you have wisdom, you have protection. Wisdom protects, it exalts, it allows you to live longer than how you even planned to. Speaking of wisdom, how has your Wise Worthy Women initiative been impacting the lives of women? MINISTER TANEISHA: Trust me, I'm telling you; many women out there — nobody never teach them, nobody never tell them how to talk, how to react, how to behave and women need it. Once a woman gets it, automatically the household will get it. So, it has been very tremendous; women from all over calling, asking [about] marriage, everything and people need it. What’s next for you? Any new projects or ministry initiatives on the horizon? MINISTER TANEISHA: God always whispers in your ears, you know. That's on God. A man can plan but only God's plan lasts. Yes, we mek wi vision be known. When God says something, we jot it down and everything but God is very spontaneous. I did not know that I would write a book. I did not know that I would keep a conference but by walking into your purpose, it's like, God is an adventurous God. Him wi seh go down deh suh and when you do, He'll say, "you see the next right turn?" So each time in the journey you're getting more things to do. So that's on God for me. How can persons connect with your ministry? MINISTER TANEISHA: They can connect with me through Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and my number that they can reach me on at (876) 858 - 2632 or (876) 851-3045. - She Is... A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)
Founder of Jars of Declarations, A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell Sometimes, the path we think we’re meant to take is not the one God has designed for us. A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell is living proof that stepping out in faith, even when it’s uncomfortable, can lead to transformation beyond imagination. From pursuing science and technology to finding her true calling in media and faith-based entrepreneurship, A'vrielle’s journey is one of resilience, obedience, and purpose. Today, she is the founder of Jars of Declarations, a brand that seeks to inspire through customized affirmations in a stylishly designed jar. She also recently spearheaded a successful staging of Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation—a self-development event curated to motivate others to step into their best selves. Breaking Down to Break Through In 2020, A'vrielle entered university with a clear plan—at least, so she thought. With a strong background in science, she began studying biochemistry at the University of the West Indies (UWI). But beneath the surface, something wasn’t right. Though she excelled academically, she found herself mentally spiraling. The weight of expectations left her drained, isolated, and deeply depressed. She recalls locking herself away in her dorm, her physical surroundings mirroring the darkness she felt within. She lost weight, energy, and even the will to live. But just when it seemed she had reached her lowest, something shifted—she took a leap of faith. It's Never Too Late to Pivot A'vrielle had always been drawn to media, and film, but fear and external noise had kept her from pursuing it. In what she describes as a complete move of obedience, she switched her major to Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC)—a field that blends advertising, PR, media, and branding. It wasn’t easy. She had little support in the beginning and felt the weight of moving independently for the first time. But she pressed on, leaning into her purpose, determination, and faith. As time went on, her work began to speak for itself. Doors opened, opportunities arose, and she found herself thriving in a space she once feared stepping into. Today, with an honours degree coupled with over three years of experience in the industry, she looks back and sees the hand of God guiding her every step of the way. Jars of Declarations Out of her journey of transformation came Jars of Declarations. She describes the jars as tools for renewing one's mind, helping people declare truth over their lives daily. What started as a passion project has now grown into a brand that touches lives, serving as a source of encouragement for those walking their own journey of faith and self-discovery. Now, A'vrielle proudly declares just how much she has grown, changed, and stepped into her God-given identity. “I am not the same A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell I was in 2020 or 2021. God has truly done a miraculous work in me.” A Closer Look w/ A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell A lot of times we have a certain view of our lives that we think is what we're supposed to do but it's not in accordance with God's will. ~ A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell What was the turning point when you knew you had to shift from biochemistry to media? A'VRIELLE: When I was a child, I always had the mindset to do media and broadcasting. I always was interested in those things but the persons above me had other plans and I went to a high school that primarily focused on the sciences so it was really what was given to me to do. But to find my own identity, I had to struggle with that because I was going based off an identity that was made for me but truly that wasn't what I wanted. So, what was the shift? It was really me getting closer to God and finding myself in Christ to know that I live my life for God and not for anybody else. And I really had to go through the pains of that and finding that my passions are truly me and what I love. If I pursue this life with Christ then I can't be doing something that somebody else told me to do and not what He had given me to love and want to do. Many people struggle with stepping out of the expectations placed on them. What gave you the courage to step outside of your comfort zone and take that leap of faith? A'VRIELLE: If you have a passion and it's not close to the expectations that people want for you but the passion keeps on coming back — it's like it will never leave — the feeling, the urge that you have and you pray about it and ask God, "Why did You give me this?" and the feeling is still there and there are things around you that confirm this; that's what gave me that leap of faith. Even though, right now, I'm not seeing [the full manifestation] the fact that it's so deep in me, [I say to myself] "Alright, I'm gonna step out and do it because I'm sure once I do it, God will add on everything. He's just waiting for me to take that leap of faith." Like Moses; he didn't have any faith in his speech. He didn't have any faith in taking people out of Egypt and once he listened to God and took that leap of faith, God added everything unto him and taught him the things that he needed. God gave him the rod and everything to fulfill his mission. It's just that he needed the faith within himself to execute it. You’ve spoken openly about battling depression. What role did faith play in your healing? A'VRIELLE: I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and at that time, I was just a church goer, right? So, I'm saying, if I'm going to church and I'm hearing that God is the healer, why don't I exercise this relationship with God? Then, I realized I didn't really have a relationship with Him. It was just a culture thing where you just go to church. So, I tapped into that relationship and I found out the truth of who God called me to be; who God created us humans to be; who I am through the Bible; all of those things really got me out of depression. Even to this day, I have to be unlearning certain things. When I realize that I'm dropping off old ways, it's when I'm deep in what God has instructed me to think or to change. When I spend time with God to really break off certain things that's what helps me to heal from certain situations. It's not an instant thing but I keep going back and plugging into my source. Integrated Marketing Communication is such a creative and fulfilling field for visionaries. What was the most rewarding part of that programme for you? A'VRIELLE: It was being around like-minded people who were so confident in their creativity because remember, I'm coming from a place where I wasn't confident in my creativity because I was told that creativity wasn't a job; it was a hobby. My classmates or yearmates were doing so many things based on what we learnt and I was like, "You guys are so creative" and that's how I am. So, I was happy to be around people who thought like me. Jars of Declarations is a unique and deeply inspiring concept. What inspired you to create these affirmation jars, and what impact have you seen them have on people? A'VRIELLE: When I was going through that season of depression, God had told me to get closer to Him and to write scriptures that stuck out to me on sticky notes, put them on my mirror and read them every day when I woke up, was leaving the house and when I was to go to bed after my devotions. I did that routinely, every single day, and if I missed a day, I would read it twice the next day. I would do that so much to the point where I felt connected to the words that I was saying to myself. I was like, "But this is true!" I believed in the words and it was stuck on me. I know a lot of people suffer with what I was going through, especially a lot of people at my age; even during COVID. It was just a lot. And in my nature, I love to help people so I was saying, "If I heal this void in me, how can I help other people who are suffering with this?" I went back to God [about helping persons going through the same struggle] and God said, "Start your business." I remember one time when I went to church convention; this is when I was just starting out and I was promoting the jars, so it wasn't really anything people knew of at the time and I had one jar. I told people who were passing by the booth to take out a card, read it to themselves and keep the card. That was a couple years ago. When I started promoting more, somebody texted me on the [business] page and said, "I still have the affirmation that you gave me that day and it's in my purse. I read it every single day, and it's what really motivates me to go on [throughout] my day." I was shocked because that was just a simple thing of me trying to get my business out there. Looking back at your journey, what advice would you give to someone feeling lost and unsure of their purpose? A'VRIELLE: My advice is to really sit down, look within yourself and try to diminish pride because a lot of times we have a certain view of our lives that we think is what we're supposed to do but it's not in accordance with God's will. Have a sense of being a clear canvas — open-minded — so when you're sitting down with God, it's not, "God I want this, I want that and I feel so lost because You're not giving me what I want." It's to really sit down and say, "God, this is what I want but right now, I don't know if it's what You want", and of course, if it's a desire that is always in you, you can ask, "Is this what I'm supposed to do but I'm going about it the wrong way?" When you sit down with a selfless intent and see how God is working then things will be added unto you. What’s next for you? Any exciting projects or future plans you can share? A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell at the first staging of her event, Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation A'VRIELLE: I am actually working on my personal brand which is aligned with my business and I have a lot of things coming up. I'm an advocate for mental health in teenagers and young adults, especially women and things are coming into play where those avenues are being executed. I'm trying to find my space in advocacy and really get out there when it comes to my personal brand; educating people on how to be their best selves, to glow and grow in who they are as women, as people reaching their highest potential. So, I'm trying to find my footing there. When it comes on to my business; the event [Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation] was a success! People are asking for more and when is the next event so, those are future plans as well. - The Digital Church: Is Online Ministry Replacing Traditional Worship?
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20) Picture this: It’s Sunday morning. Instead of rushing to iron clothes, sit in traffic and find a seat at church, you roll over, grab your phone and tune in to an online service from the comfort of your bed. Maybe you’re fully engaged, Bible in hand. Or maybe, just maybe, the sermon is playing in the background while you scroll through social media—guilty as charged. With the rise of online ministry, particularly in the wake of COVID-19, the way we worship has changed drastically. Many pastors now find themselves preaching to half-empty churches while their online numbers skyrocket. But is digital church truly replacing traditional worship, or is there a way to balance both? The Rise of the Digital Church The pandemic forced churches worldwide to embrace digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Zoom to keep their congregations connected. What started as a necessity soon became the norm. Some ministries even reported a higher online attendance than they ever had in person. Jamaican pastors have voiced their concerns about declining physical attendance, a sentiment echoed globally. A 2024 report from Christianity Today noted that 45% of U.S. churches saw a consistent drop in in-person participation post-pandemic. Similarly, reports are that some churches have struggled to recover their pre-COVID congregations, with many choosing online alternatives instead. But why? Is online ministry just more convenient, or does it offer something that traditional churches have failed to provide? Why Many Are Choosing Online Ministry 1. Flexibility & Convenience – Some believers view in-person worship as rigid and ritualistic, whereas online ministry allows them to engage at their own pace. No dress code, no commute, just the Word—on-demand. 2. Accessibility for the Disconnected – Those who live in remote areas, struggle with disabilities, or have unconventional work schedules find online ministry a lifeline. 3. A More Personalized Experience – Traditional ministries may not always cater to specific spiritual needs, while online platforms allow people to find teachings that resonate deeply with them. 4. Financial Considerations – Some argue that pastors lament empty pews not just for spiritual reasons but also due to the decline in tithes and offerings, which support church expenses. Meanwhile, some churches have adapted, leveraging platforms like YouTube and TikTok to monetize their content and sustain their ministries. But Are We Truly Worshiping? While online ministry offers undeniable benefits, it raises an important question: Are we truly engaged in worship, or have we turned it into another form of entertainment? Hebrews 10:25 warns us, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another.” Fellowship is a crucial part of Christian growth. Worship isn’t just about hearing a sermon—it’s about the laying on of hands, corporate prayer, and the collective energy of voices raised in praise. There’s something powerful about gathering in His name that a screen simply can’t replicate. Furthermore, distraction is a real issue. Online worship removes external pressures but also invites interruptions—notifications, multitasking, or even a quick nap mid-sermon. How many of us can honestly say we’re as present in an online service as we are in a church pew? Finding the Balance: The Hybrid Church Model As the landscape of worship continues to evolve, many ministries are embracing a hybrid model—offering both in-person and online experiences. This approach acknowledges the benefits of digital ministry while reinforcing the importance of gathering together. Here's why this makes sense: Expands Global Reach – Ministries are now hosting conferences in other countries, acknowledging their international online communities and deepening connections beyond the digital space. Interactive Worship – Some churches encourage live online engagement—real-time prayer requests, small-group discussions via Zoom, and even virtual communion. Supplementing In-Person Fellowship – Online teachings and devotionals throughout the week keep believers engaged outside of Sunday services. The Real Heart of Worship So, is online ministry replacing traditional worship? Not entirely—but it is redefining it. What truly matters is our posture before God. Whether in a sanctuary or in your living room, are you present in worship? Are you growing spiritually, connecting with other believers and fulfilling your role in the Body of Christ? Because at the end of the day, worship isn’t about location—it’s about the heart. “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24) The future of worship isn’t an either-or scenario. It’s about balance. It’s about keeping our hearts engaged, whether in a crowded church or behind a screen. After all, church isn’t just where we go—it’s who we are. - Have Faith in Every Season
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." —Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Every season of life is an opportunity to grow in faith. When you face the unknown, remember that God’s plans are always good and His guidance is perfect. He lovingly walks with you through uncertainty, using it as a chance to strengthen your trust in Him. Instead of focusing on what you don’t know, celebrate the truth that God knows every detail of your journey. The unknown becomes less intimidating when you recognize it as part of His purpose to bless and grow you. Prayer: Lord, thank You for leading me with love and wisdom. Even in seasons of uncertainty, I trust that Your plans for me are good. Help me to embrace every moment with faith and confidence, remembering that You are always with me. In Jesus' name, Amen. Reflection: What’s one thing you can do this week to trust God more? Write it down and thank Him for walking with you every step of the way.
- Sheneico Eastwood Talks New Book: Prayer-Proofing Your Marriage
Wife, mother, and motivational speaker, Sheneico Eastwood, is a passionate advocate for the power of prayer in marriage. As the author of Prayer Proofing Your Marriage: A Praying Wife’s Devotional to Strengthen and Protect Her Family , she is encouraging wives to build a strong foundation of faith through consistent prayer. Drawing from personal experience, Sheneico understands how vital prayer is in covering not just a marriage but an entire family. Fresh off the launch of her book, she opens up about the inspiration behind it and the impact she hopes to make. Sheneico Eastwood at the official launch of her book Prayer Proofing Your Marriage in Portmore, Jamaica What inspired you to write Prayer Proofing Your Marriage? SHENEI CO: I usually write prayers for my marriage and one day God spoke to me to write a book so other wives could benefit from praying consistently for their family, spouse and children. This was almost 3 years ago. I delayed for a good while until last year, I said, I need to be obedient. What was the writing process like? Did you include some of the prayers you usually pray or did God give you specific prayers to include in your book? SHENEI CO: The process was long, I got discouraged many times because I was doubting myself. But then, I seek God's direction on the things I should pray about. After which, I seek assistance from a publisher to get guidance in the formatting and to help me push through on the journey. The more I delayed, the more I realized why I needed to complete this assignment. What would you say gave you that wake-up call to push forward? SHENEI CO: I was reminded that persons are waiting on the message of my book, I was reminded by my support group at DayeLight Publishers that this book is not about me but about what God wants to do in marriages globally. What are some of the biggest misconceptions you believe people have about praying for their marriage? SHENEI CO: Some big misconceptions are they believe prayer won't change or fix things. People believe that they have been praying and not getting any response or not seeing any changes. Some persons sadly believe that prayer can't change things. Purchase your copy of Prayer Proofing Your Marriage here If a wife feels discouraged or like her prayers aren’t making a difference, in what way do you believe your book will help her along her journey? SHENEI CO: This book will encourage her to be consistent in praying and listening to God. Many times we pray but we don't listen to hear what God is saying. Many times we pray and we don't wait because we feel God should do it now. This book will help wives to pray and exercise faith as they pray, if you are praying and doubting then you are defeating the purpose. This book will encourage wives to stay the course even if things don't seem to be changing but to pray and ask God to direct them in how they should deal with their situations. My husband and I prayed for years for our now five-year-old. And when I finally got pregnant I had to pray through the journey as many days I would bleed and thought we were losing her. We had to pray through delivery when I had to do an emergency c-section. So I know there is power in prayer. What other themes or topics in relation to praying for your family do you touch on in the book that readers can look forward to? SHENEI CO: This book looks at topics such as lasting Love, faithfulness, forgiveness, peace of mind, health, wealth, sexual fulfillment, children, infertility and protection over your marriage and family. Where can people get a copy of Prayer Proofing Your Marriage and how can they connect with you? SHENEI CO: Persons can get physical copies by ordering from me at eastwoodsheneico@gmail.com or calling 876-585-9116. Books are also available on Amazon. - How to Create a Holistic Health Routine that Honors Your Body and Spirit
A holistic health routine doesn’t just focus on one aspect; it acknowledges the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. When you take care of yourself, you are empowered to live your best life and fulfill your purpose. Here are some practical tips to help you create a holistic health routine that honours both your body and spirit. 1. Start Your Day with Intention Begin each morning by setting positive intentions for the day. Start with a brief moment of stillness or prayer, aligning your mind with your purpose and focusing on gratitude. This practice not only strengthens your spiritual connection but also sets a peaceful tone for your day. 2. Nourish Your Body with Whole Foods A healthy diet is vital for your body. Focus on consuming nutrient-rich, whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Hydrate well by drinking water throughout the day. Your body is a temple, and fueling it with healthy food helps maintain its strength. 3. Exercise Often Physical activity is essential for overall health. Choose exercises that you enjoy, whether it’s walking, jogging, or strength training. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise most days of the week. Regular movement not only supports your physical health but also enhances your mental clarity and emotional state. 4. Remember to Rest Your body needs rest to recharge and heal. Ensure that you get enough sleep each night (7-9 hours for most adults) and allow yourself time for relaxation. Spiritual rest is equally important. Pray and engage in practices like meditation or deep breathing to calm your mind and spirit. 5. Think Positive Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with affirmations that focus on gratitude, growth, and abundance. Seek out joy in the small things, and create a life of simplicity so you can be more peaceful throughout each day. 6. Boundaries, Boundaries, Boundaries Setting boundaries in relationships and protecting your emotional energy is essential for maintaining balance. Surround yourself with supportive, positive people who encourage your growth and value you. 8. Stay Consistent and Be Gentle with Yourself Start small and gradually build habits that work for you. Be consistent, but also gentle with yourself—remember that setbacks are part of the process, and what matters is your commitment to your overall growth. Take it one step at a time and remember, the key is consistency and self-compassion.
- You Will Be Kept in Perfect Peace
"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" —Isaiah 26:3 NLT Life often feels like a whirlwind, filled with pressures, uncertainties, and distractions. In the middle of the chaos, God offers a peace that goes beyond human understanding. This peace isn’t found in the absence of challenges but in trusting His power and goodness completely. When you shift your focus from your circumstances to His great promises, you’ll find calm even in the most turbulent times. Choosing peace means surrendering control and allowing your heart and mind to be guided by Him. Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my source of peace. When the world feels overwhelming, help me to fix my thoughts on You and trust in Your plan. Calm my heart and fill me with Your perfect peace today. In Jesus' name, Amen. Reflection: Take a moment to identify what’s been stealing your peace lately. How can you shift your focus back to our Divine Creator and His promises today?
- Nadine Valentine On Answering the Call to Be a Worship Leader and Gospel Recording Artiste
For Nadine Valentine, music isn’t just her passion—it’s a calling she couldn’t ignore. From singing in a band as a teenager to leading worship, her journey has been shaped by obedience, faith, and purpose. Along with being an ordained minister, author, teacher, wife, and mother, she now inspires others through her songs such as "Your Love," "Your Glory," and "Only You." In this interview, Nadine shares key moments from her journey as a recording artiste, the story behind her new book, and what she hopes to do next for the Kingdom. Gospel recording artiste Nadine Valentine How did you know you were being called into music ministry? NADINE: When I was a teenager, I would have dreams of speaking before crowds of people. However, this did not become a reality until I became a believer and actually began ministering to people during praise and worship and speaking engagements. I was also a singer on a band called New Life when I was a teenager. Would you say you jumped at the opportunity to lead worship or did you have to build the confidence, despite knowing it was your calling? NADINE: I was placed by my pastor, Dr. Alvin Bailey because I sang my testimony at my baptism. I've always been a confident person and having had the experience singing as a teenager; that helped. However, the Spirit of God was instrumental in teaching me to worship from a consecrated place and to lead His people to worship. My mother would share with me much later that at my christening my godmother prophesied that I would be a singer. So, throughout your younger years, the trajectory was already being set. What led to the moment you recorded your first single, "Your Love"? How did that song come about? NADINE: Yes it was and no matter how far I ran from the Lord, His hand was heavy on me. My prayer mother told me it was time and a close friend of mine introduced me to her producer friend. We met up and "Your Love" was birthed in a recording studio. He and I co-wrote that one and it was inspired by my journey of experiencing God's love after being disappointed with other loves. This is for you and me and everyone who knows that God has called them to do more than just get by. He has called us to be His standard bearers, to accomplish much for His glory. What inspired your latest releases, "Your Glory" and "Only You", and what do you hope listeners take away from them? NADINE: "Your Glory" was birthed in a time of prayer and worship when I just basking in His presence. My hope is that others will come to an understanding that it's all about His glory. "Only You" declares that everything is all about Him and that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess one day that He alone is Lord. I was at the nail shop when I received the chorus and then my friend was inspired to write the verses and bridge. 2024 was a fruitful year for you. You also released your book, Heaven Revealed: Addressing Misconceptions About Heaven . What can readers expect when they get a copy? NADINE: Thank you. It was. I believe I was tasked by the Holy Spirit to unravel some misconceptions about a place that many long for. It's a short read but packed with scripture to address common myths about heaven. I do believe I have much more to write on the end times but as the Lord leads. I have always been concerned about the lack of teaching in Christian circles which has allowed many lies to be perpetrated by those who do not even attend church. Hence, this book at this time and hopefully with a part two in the not too distant future. Purchase Heaven Revealed by Nadine Valentine here You juggle so many roles—gospel artiste, teacher, minister, wife, and mother. How do you manage to stay grounded in your faith while balancing all these responsibilities? NADINE: Through much prayer. Much, much prayer, staying in the word, and connections with godly people who hold me accountable. My pastors, prayer mothers, my spiritual daughters, and last but not least, my husband, who counsels and prays for me and provides that balance that is needed. I also host women's conferences, and I'm studying again. My desire is to die empty, so whatever my hands find to do and as the Lord leads I follow. I also take time out to refresh and rejuvenate by traveling and taking vacations when I can. What’s next for you? Are there any exciting projects on the horizon? NADINE: I have a new single called "REIGN" coming out this month; February 21. I will also be hosting a women's conference in July this year. Planning is underway. Philippians 4:13 is your go-to scripture. How has this verse shaped your journey so far? NADINE: I believe with all my heart that I can do all He has assigned me to do. I stand on this verse for everything, and I mean everything. He gives strength for all that He calls us to fulfill in Him. When I get tired and overwhelmed, I remind myself that He has provided the strength to keep pressing. This is for you and me and everyone who knows that God has called them to do more than just get by. He has called us to be His standard bearers, to accomplish much for His glory.
